Verbs can be vapid and vacant

Nonexistent are neutral nouns

Attacked by adjectives and adverbs

 

A loop de loop of language

mindful meaning is only a memory

when the words are weapons

 

With backhanded b***h-slapping

and berating and backstabbing

the truth is truly twisted around

 

The blamed is so slyly shifted

Instantly injected with insults and

coyly conned without consideration

 

Whether it is being softly scorned

or outright ostracized and objectified

The words will woefully wound

 

For at the end of the fateful fight

There is really no way to know right

from wrong in the war of words

 

The is no way to win when

the tempest takes its terrible turn

Linguistics can literally become lethal
