Obliterate

Obliterate

A Poem by Cari Lynn Vaughn
"

Destruction of love

"

Obliterate

Carefully, over time, we build and create

How quickly though one can obliterate

Trust, loyalty, friendship and affection

Destroyed     Erased is the solid connection

With one broad stroke of truth told

Everything falls apart     turning to dust

Nothing left to let go of     or hold

Not even the shattered remains of lust

Emptiness would at least be something

But this unbearable place is absolutely nothing

This is a great poem! So true. At least emptiness carried with it a sense of loss, but nothingness is intangible.
