Adrift in Time

Adrift in Time

A Poem by Cari Lynn Vaughn
"

Love that isn't meant to be

"

Adrift in Time

Knowing your tender touch

I reach out to you my love

Missing you ever so much

Longing endlessly until the end

In space and time there is a rift

So you are felt but never seen

Our blessed love is adrift

Existing somewhere in between

Our meeting an impossibility

Lost love for an aching eternity

Being honest, I have trouble understanding a lot of the poetry that I find here, but this one seems oh so very clear. The words perfectly express thoughts I sometimes have about "the one" being out there somewhere, but never to be found in this lifetime.
