No Way Out

I walk along by moon lit sky

This path I choose, but don't know why.

The further down the dirt I go

The less and less the sky does glow.

Until at last I reach the end

Only to have to start again.

I wander around, my mind a blank

Thru the mud in which I sank.

Not wanting to repeat the past

Knowing that my time won't last.

I close my eyes to darkest night

To feel the warmth of days sunlight.

And when the time finally comes

I'll turn my walk into a run.

I'll run till I can go no more

And end up where I was before.
