start it all over

start it all over

A Poem by Blackstone Featherfall

i see a spider on my child's stroller
my chest is starting to tighten
this can't be healthy
i'm feeling dizzy
why do i keep it in the garage?
start the shower singing
calm down my breathing
and drink a glass of water
it's not a heart attack
it's just true loss
i see empty holes and nails
on an off blue wall
i hear my headache
it's a trombone
this feels unhealthy
but i'm looking up
up at a blur
getting nervous
step in the water
sweat out my mistakes
and start it all over
start it all over
