Color of Memory

Memories are never consistent.

I placed your words

on a shelf

and they never collect dust

or anything else;

but filtered light

always gives new

meaning to their surfaces

like droplets

on a watercolor.

because memory will always come in various colors to describe the emotions stored inside i like the metaphors and personification being done here

Thank you, sette. I agree. I saw water droplets on an old watercolor I painted and they moved the ink around months after it dried. All of a sudden, I could not remember what it looked like before.
