A lemon, I tell you.A Poem by Chris ShawMy muse has given me a lemon. Yes I tell you. A lemon, so that's what you are going to get
It's a matter of perspective,
I need to tell my mind
to focus on important things and not the first it finds. For hours I've thought of lemons, how come I hear you say? Well early on this morning, there was one that got away. Atop my garden path it sat alone and citrus bright, I guess it must have bedded down to sleep there for the night. And so the questions one by one since then have sought me out to dig in deep and irritate I swear I want to shout. Who, why or what I do not care for someone's lemon tea or for the wedge upon their plate their supper's company. I can't surmise how it arrived, but sure as hell I know this lemon's scheduled for the bin, that darn thing has to go. © 2018 Chris ShawFeatured Review
