Forget me not

Forget me not

A Poem by Chris Shaw
"

Beth:s Dad died when she was 10months old.

"
Of all the flora I have grown,
there's one self-seeding I adore,
that brings in spring its powder blue
to fill the spaces inbetween
red tulips and gold daffodils.

Their tiny yellow centred heads,
create a splash in garden beds.
So loved by Beth when she was six,
she picked a posy for her Dad
to take to his last resting place.

Forget him not is what she said,
and who was I to disagree,
so when she left them lovingly
beneath the branches of a tree
with innocence she paused to say
'my Daddy does remember me'.

Wow, amazing how she can remember her dad that young, but even if she didn't get to really interact with him, she must have been told what a great dad he was...and she will have memories of him forever... a poignant poem with lots of color and warmth....

Dear Fab, I know you have blocked me how will write to you, I can’t reply back even wherever there is chat review, but I feel you are wanting to fight with me in a sense of teaching me, I do miss your teachings why don’t you unblock me as you are not that angry 😠 but do care about everyone like son like father, yea its reverse I little later come to know about. There is much lessons to be learned and imbibed. I want to have a knowledge share in a discussion not In argument where it leads to nowhere like with him.

My youngest daughter and I have a tradition that we pinkie promise "forever" to each other every night at bedtime. No matter what our love will endure. I need to call my eldest about now. She should be getting my grandchildren into bed soon. I enjoyed the read.

This is so precious as the little girl's sad story with her dad and your loving care of her and his memory. It is very touching when it involves death.
Poet and story teller...Wow!

Ha! I hose too. The garden paths and patio. Thank you kindly Julie.
Such a heart touching tale of a beautiful flower placing a beautiful flower where her dad was laid to rest. Such an amazing little poem that really tears at the readers feelings and emotions. Wonderfully crafted Chris.
