Lift Off

Lift Off

A Poem by Chris Shaw

when moody waters wrestle
with darkest swirling thoughts
and whirlpools deep inside your mind
are dreams you never caught
take heed and lift your head up
to gaze where stars are found
and stay there till it’s safe again
to land on kinder ground

Chris this is a wonderful inspiring poem. It offers hope. A message so profound and universal as we all need this at times ‘take heed and lift your head up to gaze where stars are found’ beautifully said. A great title too. Lift Off indeed. This is a gorgeous poem. Going into my favorites. Utterly beautiful.

I like this. I think we all need some place we can go to when the thoughts we have are a little too much to deal with. ~Jim

I'm surprised I missed this one. There's a ton of wisdom in your words, Chris. I've been going through a bout of depression lately and I'm glad I saw this on the live page.

It's tough sometimes to get into a more positive vibe, but I think with some meditation it can be done. Great poem.

Chrisn- so often we ignore the beauty that surrounds us. In stead we come to believe that the horror is all the exists. You inspire us to look for the brightness of the day instead of the gloom of night.
Thank and best wishes - Dave.
