Foreboding

Foreboding

A Poem by Chris Shaw

today the sun shines brightly
the lake is filled with rain
the sparkle on the surface
is marred by pangs of pain
the river should flow easy
so gentle to the sea
yet all I feel is turbulence
and storm clouds over me

Dear Chris, what a beautiful picture painted of the two facets of the lake and with it, the two facets of the soul. The exterior, sparkling for all of nature to rejoice in and the darker, more turbulent depths with a lot going on below the surface. We're like lakes, doing our best to shine on for our loved ones and for the world, while holding within our storms, our anxieties, our fears, worries and sorrows. I'm sending you wishes for peace, calm and a whole lot of joy. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem.

And the very sane to you and yours DIVYA 🌹
I was wondering where those clouds got to Chris. I do apologise because we have been overpowered here by that great skyball of fire here and have come down with an infectious case of thinking we are the Bahamas now!
And it only started on the day we came home from our world tour of Scotland where it rained like they were having a rain sale and they even tried to threaten the entire country with amber storm warnings, which is when everything started getting all tropical!
I wouldn't worry about it though. I'm sure the storm clouds will br back in their rightful place soon, in the sky making a Scotland shaped sun avoider in the sky!
I do hope your foreboding diminishes soon though, or at least turns itself down to a one or two boding instead. 😃
