UnshakeableA Poem by Chris Shaw
these days the world spins uneasy
teetering on its heavy axis outside the piercing cries of a vixen rent the starless night sky calling for her cubs relentless wandering in the unknown exploring away from home i pause and reflect maternal values can’t be bought can’t be taught yet here am i like that vixen until the day I die does a mother ever cut the umbilical cord comewhat may times happy or in discord a mother first a mother last that is my final word © 2026 Chris ShawReviews
