Who Am I

A poem i wrote in high school

 

Flying through the night sky

With the wind passing by

Chills running up my spine

As I passed through your mind

Must you know more?

For I am flying toward your door

Who am I you ask?

Well you will see as I pass

Am I the face of fear?

Or bringer of laughter and tears

It is a nice embodiment of those who pass by. Those we are runners, and others who are gate keepers. Some unlock us, leave us open, and others stain our skin with tears. It is all in the passing, all in the motions of the conductors and the passengers. This poem is a nice representation of that.
