The Beautiful Day

This is something I wrote one day when I had a little bit of time to do something.

As I walk through the forest,

I feel Tranquil,

Calm,

At Peace,

Happy,

I stop, 

I smell the sweet smell of lilacs and roses,

Feel the soft, gentle wind on my body,

It carries the smell of rain,

I hear the sound of thunder,

See the flash of lightning,

I watch as the sky darkens,

As the storm moves closer,

I continue walking,

After a short while I feel tiny raindrops,

I stop,

Look up into the sky,

Then smile and cry out in joy and excitement,

I move forward,

Heading to my home,

It starts to rain harder,

Thunder crashes louder,

Lightning becoming more frequent,

As I dram near to my home,

The storm starts to light up,

Until it passes completely when I reach home,

I walk up the front steps,

I open the door to go inside,

But before I do I look to the side,

I see the black clouds,

Hear distant thunder,

I see small lines of lightning,

Smile,

Turn,

And then I go inside,

Content and happy with the day,

With a smile on my face,

All because of The Beautiful Day.
