A Poem by caroline

Sharp Serrated Teeth Bite at the Sticky Plastic
Ripping and Pulling, Pulling and Ripping
the Teeth Never Work,
No Matter How Sharp

the Plastic Sticks To Itself
Folding Into a Billion Folds
No Longer Shining like Gold
Never Covering what I Want It To

Bread Becomes Moldy and Stale
Soup Becomes Thick and Oily
like a Swamp
Brownies Turn Into Rock

and When I Try to Bite Into One,
I Wish I Had Sharp Serrated Teeth

even though they never work.
