i know i'm not perfect i even say i'm new and learning. but his review was not constructive. i found on this website that most all are helpful and understanding.

 

most have thought this poem to be cute and i have posted this on non writers sites also . most tell me they like the poem even though they dont know why

There are people like that everywhere you go nowadays. At least you're intelligent enough to realize that his critique wasn't constructive, but a cry for attention. I agree with Satan's Toaster that lizards can cry if you want them to. Things such as symbolism, analogies, and even creative license are used by top-rated poets all the time. Ignore that person's review and don't let it get to you. And keep writing!

Ah, I'm sorry this person hurt your feelings. This place is like any where and you get good and bad. Keep trying and working though. Just because one person doesn't like your work doesn't mean that the next person won't love it.
