ChimaeraA Story by celecisJust an excerpt of a story I'm writting.
Opening
the door, you were embraced by an all black sky, and your feet caved in the
dense snow. Reed held my hand, scared of the sounds that the nature produced
during the night. We started walking on the usual trail, marked by our
footsteps and the dead shrubs pushed aside. Because we lived in a house inside
a forest, it took ten minutes every day to reach the road where the car was
parked. Ten soothing minutes of strolling forward into lightless wilderness,
with only the gloom of the moon above us and the union of brothers to protect
us. That was the best part of the day, when that path was my home, when nothing
unnatural was inflicted on me. The darkness conjugated with nature made me feel
in harmony with the world.
