I woke up and you weren't there

I started to tear 

Rewind

My eyes close

It's dark

Cloudy

Then clearer

I'm at a game

Or carnival

Or walking through a crowd

My heart stops

I pause

And stare

There you are!

But how?

Then he raises his head

And what I once thought

Fizzles to unbelief

It's not you

Even though it was a dream

I miss you dad
