“ One of the most lyrically woven emotional literary works I have
read in current times...
In this novella, Craig Froman’s depiction of the two main
protagonists, the immensely lyrical setting of the island that just swept me
off my feet, the poetry interspersed within the narrative woven with emotional
dialogues and profound descriptions of the emotional state of the characters
have made it an unputdownable read.
The author’s language and imagery in the book, and the depth of
his narrative often reminded me of classic authors of English literature, a
tinge of Virginia Woolf, Walt Whitman, Willa Cather and the likes. And it
wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that since the first page to the last, the
poetic flow of the novella just blows you away.
An ode to melancholy itself, the novella is a seething document of
lives in the fringes that collide emotionally while hope glimmers like that
distant beacon of life amid the turbulent ocean of a life that we do often take
for granted.❞

several critically acclaimed books and anthologies in fiction, nonfiction and
poetry. Lopa has received numerous honors both from the USA and India for her
literary works.
The pages of the book were begun as a college short story while I was working at an inn in central California. In the shadows of my suicidal depression, I turned to language, these poems and fragments of story, as a lifeline. What eventually emerged was An Owl on the Moon, my poetic journey through grief, longing, and the formidable light of God that can follow despair. The chapters were my first posts here in 2008. The updated edition is now available on Amazon.

'owl on the moon,
Thanks so much for sharing your story. It is really interesting and explains your writing style too. You have a wonderful life story and testimony. People are always learning and living. Hopefully lessons are being absorbed as well. I did write down this author's name. I can understand a little more of some of the substance which has been part of who you are. So glad to read your posting for this session.
Bless you much.
Kathy
Your poetry, your way of thinking are second to your being who you are and always have been: giving service to whoever needs it. Firm words yet with gentle meanings have so often dripped from your quill, my long known friend. You've used your won emotions to give help and chance to many people throughout time in the Cafe - thank you for rarely - if ever, backing away from giving and sharing.

I've always wondered where an owl on the moon came from Craig but now I need wonder no more!
I shall add a bookmark to it for my next purchase from the corporate overlords. 😀
Ps... I would love to buy this from my local bookstore but it shut down and was replaced by an app! 😀

"There are only four questions of value in life...
What is sacred?
Of what is the spirit made?
What is worth living for..
and what is worth dying for?
The answer to each is the same:
