small piece of night

Let me get lost in the city night life

Let me forget who I am

          on brightly lit highways and

          dimly lit alley’s

Allow me the pleasure of escaping

          society’s frigid constraints

Let me lose myself in the night

          abandon the conscious right world

          for harsh edged shadows I belong to
