I forgotA Poem by Tenten
I forgot, so much. I am ashamed of my memory loss I forgot, family over law Welcoming the surprised guest Knowing everything, seeing nothing I forgot helping and getting paid I lost myself I remember it all now I remember me, I am me. I forgot society comes second I forgot so much because the place moved up The situation changed, I changed Now I honestly remember No I biasedly know My anger, my hatred, my violent disposition, I know…I acknowledge my emotions, these feelings I pay focus to my ignored self I work with those I care for to learn And when I am healed from the years of disregarded abuse I’ll focus on you and tell the truth Spew your hated words. I’ll tell the truth Because I can’t help but act somewhat just a little like you
