you should know

you should know

A Poem by Tenten

I thought you should know

That I knew, every time

Every truth to your every lie

About the little things

Or the big ones

Because I knew you always

That’s why as I get older

I want to save him, my little brother

From the truth childhood shields

I never want him to feel that

Pain of being second to the man in your bed

I want the hurt to never touch his soul

I never want him to cry

So you should know I’ll rescue him

Someday.

To save that rose tinted smile
