These faces

These faces

A Poem by Tenten

These faces

belonging to a town

that use to own me

Familiar in a way

that says ‘I knew you’

in a time that is no longer now

Posing a question of

‘Once we were’ no longer

having a relevant meaning

Faces that have been

Replaced by souls of substance

And beating true hearts

These faces

belonging to a town

that no longer has title

strictly important to us
