Distant

Distant

A Poem by Tenten

She is distant – asleep? – has the pain set her free – or ordered her chains? -  to still away breathing memory  -of a time, short – when touch did not mean tears -  and cemetery gates – where a place of rarely expressed truth. -  the connection made in the past – felt sparking beneath today’s  - happy façade – I feel her beat – a stain stronger than ink – I feel her – does she feel me  - that girl I feel in love to.
