sometimes I forget

sometimes I forget

A Poem by Tenten

Sometimes I forget

I won’t let you love me

I refuse to be your breaking point

Touch me please, I’m begging

Sometimes I let it slip

Gentles hands can be persuasive

Eternal bliss can be found

Kisses mustn’t be on the lips

Occasionally I remember

Cold nights can be warmth

Submission is freedom

Memories are not a cruel corruption

The simplicity is there once again. This poet speaks for the common person. The person that is shy. The person that doesn't have the ability to express what they feel. The person that doesn't understand what is happening to them. The person that doesn't know who they are. This is an example of "understated" but powerful. Reading this poem makes me feel as if I know you, have mentally touched you, have become one with you w/o even looking in your eyes....NOW THAT IS WRITING! Trisha

Like this. Simple, subtle. Without obvious meaning, easily interpreted in many different ways. Ambiguous, there's the word I want. :) Nicely written, emotive.
