Over the Phone

Over the Phone

A Poem by Tenten

Don’t tell me you’re proud of me

Over the phone

Aiming away from me

Don’t tell me you love me

Driving away

Easter day

Turning a family of four to two

Don’t be so kind and truthful

In honest word and voice

Because you can’t see the wrong

In this family falling apart

Don’t say ‘I love you.’

Don’t say ‘I’m proud of you.’

Over the phone anymore
