burning mask

burning mask

A Poem by Tenten

I can paint my face

As good as the next marionette

A nature noah artist

Color my eyes in black and greens

Dye my lips in reds and pinks

Paint my cheeks in subtle shades

I can paint my face

As good as the next marionette

Existing in a mask of lies

Drives a fading face beyond madness

Into an artist sorrow

Inviting depression to fill and destroy

Why hide the pain

Built on your lies

Lighting a fire to anger at you

The flames go high

Fed by these masks and misunderstandings

Water work pigment always

Looked better on this face of mine
