the 'good-bye'

the 'good-bye'

A Poem by Tenten

Created gifts of words as a momentary goodbye

Accompanied by hand painted butterfly cards

Taped by stem dried roses of yellow, red, and a single pink

Now with new creations of the time

“Hello” is uttered with silent statements

In paint swirls and pastel smears

Gifts to those first that eternity is found in

Comes second those that may last

Squeezed in between silent insanity and class work

Old and new creations

Paint stains and pastel swirls

Goodbye for now or Hello this time

The gifts given as a simple reminder

We once where we are now we will be

Even if meaning is not fully perceived.
