A Watch A Ring

A Watch A Ring

A Poem by Tenten

A watch a ring a guitar pick and one game of bowling

A ring, a cigarette, one pill of codine

A watch lost in time – you forgive me

I have yet to forgive myself

A ring, on my hand, on a chain

I try to wear it daily; you remember

A guitar pick of greens and white

I wrap it around my neck; you can’t see

A ring, I hope you wear daily

I love it wrapped around your neck

A cigarette, the smoke dissipated in the air

I hope you where happy as it was lit

One pill of codeine

You called to say a tired ‘I love you’ and went passed

The game of bowling you paid for

                You won, two strikes

I came in second, one strike down

Moments of happiness

                Memories tied to object

                I hope we never forget
