Rail Road Child

Rail Road Child

A Poem by Tenten

The cold steel beneath my bare feet

Moonlight light the path

A sense of fear, ‘Out here no one can hear me’

A sense of peace, “Out here no one can hear me”

The child guided by train tracks

I’m the railroad child who dances beneath the moon

Finding freedom away form expectations

Led by grass whispers away from tears

Dear rail road child, it’s who I am

Away from the pain, I can be free

Away form the constrains of your world I am me

No tears no pain just the little girl I wasn’t aloud to be
