That Boy

That Boy

A Story by Tenten

You ever seen that boy

The one who’s got your heart

You ever seen him

When he gives those sad smiles

Eyes dancing in the night

Darin’ ya to ask

If he needs to cry while offer’n’ your shoulder

You ever seen his face

A good long look, when he’s gonna break

Those rules of man to kiss his friend

That Lady who’s married

That boy always taggin’ long

Leavin’ them, you, those discouraging eyes

Pantin’ breathless for more

Of that taste that never been on your tongue

You ever seen that boy

Sleep’n’ all tight in someone’s bed

A baby’s face before those laughter eyes open

An his trickster tongue start working

On forgettin’ creation for the moment
