I can breathe!

I can breathe!

A Poem by Tenten

I can breathe. I can breathe!

And I am happy I am glad

Squealing laughter, squinty smile

Yet these tears threaten to fall

These hateful damnable water drops

Promise me I’ll cry

All because I saw that damnable man

I met his eyes! Those cold distant orbs

            Because I fled from him

I couldn’t face the pain the encounter could bring

The coward can breathe the baby can cry

Tears inspired by a single boy…man…human.

Pitiful shameful, I can still breathe

Yet truthful words stay locked deep inside

I can smile       I can laugh

Yet this damnable pain

                        Created by a damnable man

Still despicably lingers.
