awkward smile

awkward smile

A Poem by Tenten

Awkward smile

My smile will forever be

An awkward twitch of lips

An uncomfortable movement of muscles

Shifting to express an emotion

More for another souls appreciation

Than the deep felt essence

Yes my smile

Will always be

That awkward twitch

To prove another mask has

Instantly been granted existence

So you won’t worry if

The mind has broken

The soul has cracked

This questioned essence has diminished

Only a mask to appease

Those faces I have grown fond of

In this moment of time
