If You Die

 

“You know, I think if you die and leave me here I won’t forgive  you.”

“Oh yeah, why not?”

“Because I’m a very selfish person and the thought of death becoming your only lover for eternity wounds me too much to grant you forgiveness.”

“So I guess this means I’m stayin’ with ya forever huh? Don’t sound too bad, I kinda love you so this might just work.”

“Don’t make admissions sound so dissociative, the words don’t sound so sweet.”
“Can’t help the type of person I am but its true ya know? That I love you, cuz I really do.”
“How do I know, your words aren’t so strong and the taken actions, well I haven’t been the only one.”
“I don’t know how to get ya ta trust a person the likes of me. But ya saved me you see, from fallin’ past Hell and just with that damn smile.”

“A smile, that’s how you base our love?”

“Na, I base our love on the world, on your voice on your time spent with me. I base our love in happiness. On the fact that out a all those smiles in the world, yours is the only one that saved a sinner soul the likes of mine.”

“Well I guess since I love you too, I’ll settle for eternity. I’ll take your words as truth as well, so don’t ever break them.”
“I won’t ever break you, never.”
“That’s not what I said.”
“Yaa I know, but I also know that that’s what ya meant.”
“Precarious.”
“Precious.”
