The Drink Says

The Drink Says

A Story by Tenten

I fell in love with you.

It’s the whiskey talking.

No, not it’s the truth. I loved you. Imagined you beneath me, your mouth turning me to god.

Go to sleep, its been a while.

I could cry, you don’t believe me. You don’t believe that I want you.

Even your drunken nonsense can hurt me.

I will always want you, by my side. In a way, we are meant to be.

Its unfair, your words, they can do this to me.

What do they do that I can’t?

They are part of you, so in turn this is your fault.

What is?

The desire to be with you, to become your smile.

I’m in love with you. We can be good.

It’s the drink speaking, nothing more. Off to bed now.

It hurts but someday, I know you’ll believe me.

If you put down that bottle, someday.
