Thief of Words

Thief of Words

A Poem by Tenten

He stole her words

                in a late night

Love burned to sin

                the taste of slick skin

Bodies becoming one

                building passion

He said ‘I love you’

                never to return

He stole her words

                in a late night

Stood and dressed

                for a midnight walk

Moving to the next soul

                to steal another song

Maybe the next song might be a song of mourning. Good piece.

Something that happens all too often to far too many people, both men and women. The ending cuts deep. I liked this a lot.
