diminishing heart

diminishing heart

A Poem by Tenten

Spoke to me in dreams of lies

Lived the pain of love

To move into a life

That love did not carry to

In our hearts we separate

Desperately grasping to a body

Keeping warmth we do not feel

Inside the dying mind

I pray re-birth of past

The days that brought smiles

Lingering memories are a haunting friend

Letting us recall what we cannot have

In the day of public expectation

Family pressure wins out

Leaving our words to then

The bed is cold, her smile gone

I’ll play a remix tape

In hopes of bandaging this broken heart…beat
