Cemetery Walks

Cemetery Walks

A Poem by Tenten

Cemetery Walks

Leaving lunch for mid-day smokes

Fleeing the overrated antimony class

A foil pipe for madness days

You and I speaking life

To tombstone ears

Counting children, decades,

Unread names and a white marble mausoleum

Stepping through lanes of dead

Unapologetic, knowing

They knew we mean no harm

Finding – creating peace in

Ended silence

In moments before the bell

Of high school drama pulled us back
