Perfect Way

Perfect Way

A Poem by Tenten

You know the perfect way

to make conviction fail

the easy method

to destroy righteous anger

seem a child’s tantrum

You know the perfect way

to flip around

the missed mess

and turn the pain to guilt

for leaving its shell

and disturbing your world

of convenient excuse words

as multitasking commences

misunderstood

You know the perfect way

as the message is lost

beyond mirror glares

and marker words of anger

‘I’m sorry’ spoken in polished

Whimsy words of lacking emotion

These words seem like forgiving spells

On the harmed not the harming

Hating half hollow apologies

Very strong emotions come through most expressively here. I like the repetitiveness of "You know the perfect way." This person's ways have become so familiar it seems, even the emotion-lacking apologies. A sad poem that says so very much. Excellent writing!
