She's TiredA Poem by Tentendissociative piece
She’s tired and her world is giving in To swirls and pill bottle dreams That grant that blank sleep Giving no rest to the now The desecration of life A desecration of life There is no hope For the political structure Mother dies at her feet with each puff Of that cancer stick she’s worshipping Did you hear the whisper of the moon? Neither did she, the pills had her sleeping That un-restful dreamless flow of lies That the morning will bring The world is your apple Not the version of truth, the apples rotted Too doused in chemicals to fertilize The tree that could have grown If hot water had been used She’s tired again, could you hear her scream Did you hear me breathe? Neither did she…I don’t think inhale Exhale and keep on it Till the reality blurs to nothing more days And the veins in her arms won’t be a pain Yeah, she’s tired again Those dreamless sleep nights
