Silence

Silence

A Poem by Tenten

So this is my silence

It’s good to see you too

That’s what my smile is saying

To your responding quite

Maybe the world won’t understand

Why our voices are caged

And the looks will be strange

Rainbows are waving

You know someone too?

Besides that boy that dies 10 years ago

And the kid they stole in 2000

You know a caged smile

So you’re capping that voice

If they can’t speak…they were silenced

This is our small gift….a sacrifice?

So this is my silence

It’s good to see you too

That ‘we aren’t alone’ knowledge

Shines through

Tomorrow I’ll speak

But today this rainbow speaks for me
