Paint A Song

Paint A Song

A Poem by Tenten

I’m gonna paint you songs

Decorate the world in lyrics

That flow to whispers of midnight smiles

You remember then, the coughing by rivers

The next inhale a promise of free fall

As we sat passing gods hand to hand

We’ll cover the world in paint stains

Raving in new age breath

An old world step style dance

Did you hear the voice of the river?

Mother’s calling you home

To her arms that embrace

In every form your imagination has yet to embrace

I’ll let you hold the brush

Creating reckless designs in stars

And adding that much needed ruined perfection view

To the image, the reality of now

Is slowly embracing

You can become their messiah

Of truth beauty freedom love death life

The beginning starts in the end

Do you remember summer nights?

I don’t recall a reality I didn’t breathe you in

When this ends let lines float

Flow in color and pigment we never imagined

We’ll cover the world in art,

The you and me, the us and we

The then and now, the once and always

The entirety we never believed in

Until our eyes locked and found

Kindred souls dancing to the songs

Painted by hands belonging

To everyone no one, themselves and us
