the goodbye

the goodbye

A Poem by Tenten

She stood and watched memories go by..bye

Moved in a faery dance

            Waved goodbye

Cried tears of diamond

Facets shining in street lamp blue hues

            The past walked away

I’ll kiss my hand to you in passing

Miss the arms that embraced

Dream of new skin as you left

Behind the memory turns in dusty roads

Looking forward to stepping futures

The essence of then still lingers
