Contemplation

Contemplation

A Poem by Tenten

This heart beat hurts in way’s never believed

Death turns a creator contemplative

Eyes too sad for forced expected smiles

Lying is still a capability

Your disappointment is already known

To the others surrounding, to myself

The pills I put away, for the moment

Perhaps the day

The smoke leaves my lips in jagged puffs

My third….my sixth…I’ve lost count

Did you believe when I said I love you?

Those days are gone

I still care

This heart beat hurts more than thought

I’ll say I care and let this truth be made known

As your disgust at who I’ve become

Flows free, it was a short blessed eternity

Our time
