No ShoesA Poem by Tentenfor the way life should be in my eyesNo shoes please And keep the bras they equal nuisance If you want you can have the shirts I’ll take the peasant dress & a good pair of boxers Let’s keep the socks I’ll admit it, sometimes clothes are confining A suffocation to the beauty of flesh You can have the steel buildings I’ll take mine in earth and rock Keep those fences we’ll play in vines wild grass and faery beds We don’t need cements paths woven stones & worked earth do the just I’ll admit, sometimes a solid place called home Is a suffocation to the beauty earth offers
