They Create MeA Poem by Tentenfor my friends
I’m a conglomerate of the people I know
Little pieces of them exist within me
If I could, I would tattoo their names
The title’s I’ve given them
The ones they’ve chosen for themselves
Across my flesh in a stitch like manner
To show the world
I am only them…with some spice
A different view of life
And the purpose to please and create
The fond affection for their smiles
I was never me, never whole
Without them, and now I understand
They create my existence
Without their acknowledgement
I dwindle…I lie in the possession
Of very few people…
That number seems to be growing
