Somebody

Somebody

A Poem by Tenten

You want me to be
Something I'm not ready to be
That child prodigy I never was
That genius I am not
Trapped in your dreams of grandeur
Serving a purpose to the goals you never met
Forcing your dreams onto me
Fitting a skin not my size into your picture perfect
Flawed life style far gone from my aspirations
Of free will free love of peace and commonality
I'm pouring the rain on your perceptions of who I am
Who I will become
