Crumbled Steps

Crumbled Steps

A Poem by Tenten

where we stand the lines are blurred
from then to now
the steps have crumbled
leaving us nowhere to turn
so your face to my back
trying to beat the other
look who can stand higher
the points of my shoes are breaking
the lines got blurred
as we stepped away
I’m the free falling sort
that translates to
in the end this will be ok
an eternal love gone from my sight
I’ll play Maxwell in a run and hide
type of living
new faces new names
there's a girl I’ve got inside my heart
where we stand the lines are blurred
moving past it all
there's a new tune to be heard
