But the world was so much bigger than

New places, unknown faces, those never heard languages

Lands untouched by steal and machine

People living beyond the point of breathing

The world was so much more than

As our knowledge grows she seems to become much smaller

I like the analogy of this write...you give us a focal point..and address both issues of the matter in the lines of this verse...
