About love lost.

Close your eyes and dream for me.

Dream of the days when love was between us.

When like two lovers, bared it for all to see.

Happy in love, in desire, in trust.

 

Gone are those days.

 

Dream of happy days,

Lost in rose colored bliss.

When like children

 we sealed everything with a kiss.

 

Gone are those days.

 

Dream of deeper feelings

When love was all that mattered.

And that day our dreams were shattered.

 

And now with this kiss

I thee wed

and lay you down

in your satin bed.

Oh wow. This is so deep and emotional. I could feel it in your words. Helped along by the acoustic artist I was listening to at the time I read it, I almost shed a tear. Not because I can completely understand this piece, but that you did so well at embedding the passion into it that I almost felt it entirely. And that is amazing. I can't say that I've been driven that deep from reading anyone's poetry that's still alive.

This is quite a deep poem.. i think its about death... the writer is looking back over a passionate love... and remembering how happy they were... before they lay their love to rest.

Just my interpretation.
