He is stuck

Watching the world

Pass him by each day

He tries to learn

More about who

He is

And who he wants

To become

It isn’t a life

That’s easy,

More the less

And less it will be

For time and eternity

No one realizes

What we are

And who we’re meant

To become

Everyday people

Doubt

And eventually

That’s what starts

The drought

It isn’t going

To be easy

But that doesn’t

Mean we give up

On who we are

And who we’ll be

It is a question

For all of us to ask

About what changes,

Who do we become,

And where do I want to go.

Now it may seem

As if we have

All the time

In our hands

But in reality

We have nothing

But a sliver

Of the gift of time

On this precious earth

So who do you

Want to become?

What are you

Willing to do

To change and

Fulfill your potential?

It isn’t what

Others want from us

But who we are

And what our

Dreams really are.

But really it's all about

You for you and only you.

I enjoy your thought provoking work. We can spend our whole life wondering who we are and looking for the answer in others when it can only be found within.
It takes courage to be who we really are. Reading others words of courage gives me more strength to be open and share who I am.
